Stuck in Our Heads - Vol. 3 - June 2007

Can there be too much of a good thing?

I suppose there is a distinct possibility. Because of my unfortunate delay last month, it seems a little early for me to be dropping another playlist. Yet, here we are.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the results thus far. Each month there have been songs on the list that, in retrospect, I am shocked and embarrassed I didn't already have in my collection. Even more importantly, there have been songs that I am sad I had never heard before. So, whether or not this is doing anything for you, it is certainly accomplishing what I had hoped when I started.

The list is a little shorter this month. My theory is that people are starting up on summer vacations and such. Either that, or they got fed up with my failure to post last month's list on time and are now punishing me with their silence.

I respect that.

Stuck in Our Heads - Vol. 2 - "May" 2007

Okay, so things got a little out of hand last month. That little trip I took to Australia turned out to be way way way busier than I hoped it would be. Add to that the fact that the little string that connects Australia to the interwebs is apparently stretched pretty damned tight because connection speeds are remarkably slow, even when one does have the time and inclination to pick up the tin can and try to talk. Add to THAT the fact that Australia's connectivity was the least of my technical difficulties Down Under, and you start to get a sense of why I am posting the May's criminally tardy Stuck in Our Heads playlist in June.

For the record, I am posting it before I've finished collecting entries for June. It's kind of like getting over jet lag: the best way to force yourself to adjust is to adhere to the local schedule even if it means pretending to ignore everything your body knows. So, let's pretend that May's list isn't a month late, and let's focus on the excitement at being able to enjoy two months' worth of suggestions so close to one another.
